The Newberry Animal Healthcare and Emergency Center is a full-service veterinary facility located in Newberry Township. We provide emergency/critical care and wellness care for cats, dogs, birds, and other small animals. We offer state-of-the-art medical technology and procedures, including advanced diagnostics, ultrasound imaging, dental procedures, endoscopy, oxygen therapy, and intensive care services.

We are a locally owned practice that opened its doors in 2017. We began as a small family owned general practice and have since grown in size and services offered. We are offering full or part-time positions and are willing to train if you are a recent graduate. Our list of surgical procedures is broad and not limited to foreign body obstruction, dental procedures, mass removals, amputation, spay/neuter, cystotomy, and gastropexy.

Our mission is to offer the highest level of care while administering it in as close to a fear-free environment as possible. We provide an upbeat and enjoyable work environment for our staff which we also think contributes to the patient’s overall experience.

The community in which the hospital is located is also exponentially growing. There is easy access to interstate I-83 from our hospital and is within a 20 minute drive from the Harrisburg capital, York area, and Mechanicsburg shopping district.

We pay bi-weekly with direct deposit, offer medical benefits with dental/vision included to full time staff, give bonuses, supply meals on busy days, we also offer many discounts on professional services, and assist our staff in every way we can with furthering and expanding their knowledge and skill-sets. Our emergency/urgent care schedule runs from 10:00AM-10:00PM Monday-Sunday and our regular practice appointment schedule is 10:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Saturday.

We are interested in both full-time and part-time veterinary technicians who love animals as much as we do and who possess a positive attitude. Candidates should be friendly, courteous, and possess a strong skill set in animal care, anesthesia, and surgery. Candidates should also have proficient computer skills, ability to communicate with clients, knowledge of in-house lab equipment, and radiology.

Pay: Starting $18.00 – $22.00 per hour based on experience

We are interested in both full-time and part-time receptionists, preferably those who have experience in veterinary medicine. We are looking for receptionists that are positive, friendly, and possess excellent communication skills. We are looking for individuals that can remain calm during stressful situations and who have a passion for helping people. Potential receptionists should possess excellent communication skills and must also be proficient in managing sales of goods, organizational skills, knowledge in how to efficiently operate multiple phone lines, and basic computer skills.
